Hello, my name is Patrick Carnahan and I am a 20 year-old media composer. I am applying for the Composer Spotlight Award and would be honored to join you in London if I am selected. I was raised in a musical family and have been playing instruments most of my life. I started piano lessons when I was 5 and later added the violin and trumpet in elementary school. I have always loved using music to tell a story and am excited to pursue media composing as a profession. I also have a twin brother, Sean, and we often work together on projects. A few years ago, we started a composing studio (TwinScore Studios) and we have collaborated on several short films, documentaries, social media videos, and a commission for the Golden Gate Brass Band. We also have partnerships with the following music licensing companies- Pink Shark Music, Score a Score, and Epic Lab. While I haven’t had a placement yet, I am hopeful that a recent album I submitted will be placed in a Network TV show. I’m currently working on a commission for a WWII Navy Ship and a science-fiction video series that is being released on social media. I’ll also be participating in the 2025 Film Scoring Academy of Europe’s online Graduate Program. It would be very exciting to be invited to attend the Production Music Awards in London and to have the opportunity to meet others in the profession. With Great Appreciation! Patrick Carnahan
