Hello there, I’m Megan Gillett. I’m an award-winning film and media composer, specialising in hybrid orchestral music with a Celtic influence. I’ve been composing since I was about 15 and I’m currently studying Music at the University of Southampton. I often draw inspiration from Celtic culture and the beauty of the natural world, resulting in a sound that particularly suits fantasies, documentaries and adventures. Although I have worked on numerous original soundtracks, I have only recently started to look into how my music could be used in a production context. As an improviser and multi-instrumentalist, emotion and intuition is at the heart of my composition process. While my personal style is consistent, I am versatile and work in a range of genres including classical, electronic and folk. Around my studies during the past year, I have already amassed a catalogue of over 50 original tracks that could be suitable for sync. I am eager to work with production libraries and learn more about this area of the industry, so I would be extremely grateful for the chance to develop a network of like-minded composers and sync professionals.
