Supporting Information

I discovered my passion for composition in 2020 when I purchased Cubase and Albion ONE. This sparked an immediate love for composing for media that led me to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in Media and Video Game Composition at the University of Chichester through Thinkspace Education, where I graduated in 2024. During my time in the program, I discovered trailer music through an assignment creating library track pitches. After researching the genre and being inspired by Tommee Profitt’s trailerized version of Linkin Park’s “In The End,” I created three trailerized nursery rhymes that garnered significant attention from my instructors. After graduating in 2024, this work led to collaboration opportunities, including assisting one faculty member on submissions to a label under Harmony Music Libraries and another instructor with composing for video game trailers and OSTs. I gained a lot of industry insight through interviews with trailer composers, music supervisors, and marketing firms. What drives me is production music’s fast-paced, innovative nature and the constant push to stay on the cutting edge and evolve your sound, as well as the team-like community in the industry. My goal is to establish myself in the trailer and production music world and bring my personal voice to the industry. The assistance that the Composer Spotlight Award would provide in helping me market myself and establish connections with production music libraries would be absolutely invaluable as I attempt to transition to a full-time music career. I want to continue to learn from the best in the industry and have really appreciated the kindness and willingness to help I’ve experienced. I would love to pay that kindness forward and do the same for early future composers. Thank you for your time in reviewing my submission!
