Supporting Information

I’m a freelance composer based in the UK and working primarily in games but beginning to work in Production music since the start of this year. I studied guitar at BIMM in Bristol at 18 after getting a place through an audition, having left school at 14 with no GCSEs and although I finished my degree in 2014, I didn’t really know what to do with it at the time. Then in 2018 after working as a chef for a few years I returned to education and got my MA in Sound Design, securing a job as an assistant sound editor around the same time. Since 2020 I’ve made my way as a freelancer, initially doing primarily sound design and now gradually transitioning into doing primarily music. I’ve worked on games such as Bladesong, The Quarry, Archvale, Automatoys and many more. I come from a working class background and grew up on benefits, and so far I’ve loved that production music is accessible and open to anyone as long as their music is good, which is fantastic! I’d love to be considered for the spotlight award as I’ve worked really hard to get my music up to a standard where I think it’s worthy of placement, and although I’m just starting out have managed to sign tracks and albums with Bibliotheque, Liftmusic, Twisted Jukebox, OUT/STANDARD & Thermal Music so far since the start of the year, as well as beginning to work on custom Trailer cues for Pusher Music this month. I think I’m really starting to find my own sound, and I’m excited to have been give the opportunity to improve my music, production and mixing skills by working on brilliant production music projects!
