As an emerging, unpublished songwriter I’m excited to apply for the Composer Spotlight category at the 2025 Production Music Awards. I believe I would be a strong candidate for this award because I specialise in electronic and chart pop music, genres that are being increasingly used in lifestyle and reality TV shows. I have released 23 original tracks via production music libraries, which have so far generated over 2,000 sync usages worldwide. I write and produce all my own material and apply the highest standards of professionalism in both my music production and business interactions with libraries and collaborators. I have a great deal more music to come, and this award would give me an excellent boost to expand my brand and network much wider in the industry. I began writing songs from a young age, growing up in Northern Ireland and performing in local bands as a teenager. Music has remained a constant passion throughout my life, even as I’ve pursued a full-time career in another field. The production music world has offered me an ideal creative outlet, one that enables me to stay connected to my craft while building a portfolio that contributes meaningfully to global media. My focus lies in modern pop songwriting and production. I compose, produce, and mix all of my music, often collaborating remotely with vocalists, musicians, and co-writers from around the world. I strive to make every track emotionally compelling, technically polished, and highly usable for sync. To date, I have released 23 tracks across five production music albums: ‘Chart Pop,’ ‘Electropop,’ ‘Tropical House,’ and ‘Lovesick’ for Evolution Media Music (sub-published by BMG Production Music), and ‘Lifestyle Pop’ for Alibi Music. The majority of my tracks have had international usage across major TV and streaming platforms, including placements in shows such as Love Island USA, Catfish: The TV Show, Love is Blind, Home and Away, and The Rookie. Several of these placements have involved multiple tracks within a single program, testament to the consistency and adaptability of my writing. Alongside my production music work, I also release music under the artist project ‘Oroco’, where I explore stripped-back, heartfelt originals and covers. Currently, I’m working on a new 10-track album slated for early 2026. This project blends Latin pop influences with modern chart production and is designed for lifestyle and youth-focused media placements. My aim is to expand my catalog while continuing to hone a signature sound that is vibrant, versatile, and sync-ready. As someone who balances professional life with musical ambition, I bring both discipline and deep creative intent to every project. Being shortlisted for the Composer Spotlight would be an invaluable step forward, both in growing industry relationships and sharing my work with a wider audience.
