My journey into production music began at Leeds Conservatoire, where I studied Film Music. During my time there, I secured an internship with Quarry Music—a forward-thinking library music platform that provides students with the opportunity to release their first production tracks through its label, Meditracks.
This experience allowed me to apply my film scoring skills to the world of production music. It also connected me with experienced production music composers and gave me invaluable insight into crafting music that is truly ‘syncable’ and commercially viable.
While at university, I released two tracks through Quarry Music/Meditracks. Since graduating, I’ve completed my debut production music album, which will be available on the Meditracks site this summer. This marks a significant step in my creative and professional journey as a composer for media.
The link below takes you to my first production music track, ‘Medical Momentum’. This piece resulted in my first placement, for Irish channel RTE 1.
