Supporting Information

Hello! My name is Evie Kitching, and I am a young female composer with a First Class degree in Film Music from Leeds Conservatoire. Just before graduating last summer, I was selected for a career mentorship programme from Channel 4 and production library The Nerve, which gave me valuable insight into the industry through one-to-one sessions with professionals and brilliant networking opportunities. Following the mentorship, I wrote an album of music for The Nerve, Fields of Play, which was published in March. (https://www.thenerve.io/albums/thenerve712) Less than a month after its release, I had my first ever TV placement, on BBC1’s Countryfile, with the track ‘Cloudless Sky’ – I’ll never forget the excitement of my first sync! Since then, tracks from the album have been placed across a range of major broadcasters including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, (and even in Norway!), on programmes such as Gardener’s World, Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, Songs of Praise, and Jimmy Doherty’s Big Bear Rescue. I have also gone on to release more albums and tracks with various publishers, resulting in further exciting placements on programmes such as The One Show and Wimbledon! My Spotify playlist showcases a range of tracks published this year, which have since been synced on TV. ‘Cloudless Sky’ is a personal favourite, and also my most frequently used track! It has been a wonderfully exciting few months building a strong foundation in the world of production music , with each placement feeling just as exciting as the first! I am now working on several more albums, and I can’t wait to see where my music is synced next! Thank you for your consideration for this award! Evie
